Emily Ling–Mini Bio

Emily Ling is an interdisciplinary practitioner whose work encompasses advocating for justice in marginalized communities and actively creating the Beloved Community she longs to see. Drawing from her own diverse experience in nurturing healthier communities through both macro and micro transformations, she assists educational institutions, nonprofits, and individuals who are seeking to more fully and critically engage in generative and liberating practices. Emily currently serves as the Assistant Farm Manager at New Leaf Agriculture, an organic farm near Austin, Texas that employs refugees in dignified work through regenerative agriculture. She is also the Social Justice editor of the EcoTheo Review, a publication that amplifies the work of those who are exploring the intersection of ecology, spirituality, justice, and creativity. Previously she worked for years in the field of criminal justice reform and advocacy on behalf of the incarcerated. She has earned a Master of Divinity and Certificate in Religion and Conflict Transformation from Boston University, a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas, and a B.A. in Sociology from Baylor University.
